Enso Hotel Groundbreaking

On June 15, 2015, BEST held the groundbreaking ceremony for its new business, ENSO HOTEL. In Japanese culture, “ENSO” refers to hand drawn circles that appears when the mind frees the body to be creative. With characteristic Japanese “Omotenashi” service and hospitality, ENSO HOTEL’s mission is to create a calm atmosphere for where guests can release their tiredness and let their thoughts go.

This 200-room business hotel has a total area of 7,850 sqm building, which is built on 3,600 m2 of land located within the commercial area of MM2100 Industrial Area near the Jakarta-Cikampek toll gate. The hotel targets business travelers who are traveling in the Bekasi industrial area.

ENSO HOTEL will focus on providing a restful sleeping experience and refreshing the body through refreshing showers, with barrier-free internet connection. ENSO HOTEL also strives to provide convenience in doing business, with multifunctional rooms and facilities such as exclusive restaurants, bars and relaxation facilities.

Public Exposure

On June 10, 2015, the management of PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk (“BEST”) of the Public Expose explained its performance during 2014 as well as its projected and plans for 2015. BEST posted revenue of Rp 839.6 billion, approximately Rp 493.5 billion or 37.0% higher compared with its achievement in 2013. The decline in revenue was primarily caused by declining realization of industrial land sales in the midst of high uncertainty during 2014. With regard to presales of industrial land, in 2014 BEST booked 35.5 hectares, a significant decrease from its 2013 achievement of 60 hectares. Nevertheless, the average price improved from USD 172 per square meter in 2013 to USD 190 per square meter in 2014.

Entering 2015, BEST’s strategy is to stay focused on industrial land sales. In addition to targeting foreign markets, especially Japan, this year BEST is also targeting relocation of industries in the increasingly dense area of DKI Jakarta.

To strengthen its industrial land development business, in 2015 BEST will develop supporting facilities such as Standard Factory Buildings for rent. This facility, which was launched under the name of BM Rental Factory, was completed at the end of December. The BM Rental Factory factory targets small to medium scale foreign companies, especially Japanese ones, which are about to enter the Indonesian market.

Besides BM Rental Factory, this year BEST will also develop commercial facilities in the form of a hotel and rental office space. The Company believes that there is sufficient demand from MM2100 industrial estate holders for these services.

BEST Launches New Company Logo and Holds The Grand Opening of Enso Hotel

On Thursday night, November 23, 2017, coinciding with the Grand Opening of Enso Hotel, launching PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk. (BEST), as the industrial estate developer and manager, launched the company’s new logo and identity. The change followed the new vision and mission, and the management’s determination to build high quality, integrated industrial areas. The industrial township managed by BEST, which is known as the MM2100 Industrial Township, has many advantages, in particular its very strategic location close to the center of business, economic and trade in Jakarta which is also right in the middle of the industrial corridor between toll roads from Jakarta, Tanjung Priok Harbor and several industries in Karawang, Cikarang, Bekasi. BEST will also have direct access to the JORR II once the toll road is operational.

Best Surpasses Its Land Sales Target This Year

BEST has surpassed this year’s land sales target of 42 hectares (ha) from its original 2017 target of 30-40 ha.

BEST Director, Yoshihiro Kobi said, the high demand for land sales will increase the company’s enthusiasm and optimism of the company to continue contributing to Indonesia’s industrial and economic development in the future.

“As the manager of the MM2100 Industrial Township, we are very concerned with industrial growth in Bekasi and its surroundings,” said Mr. Yoshihiro Kobi

The industrial township managed by BEST has a number of advantages, in particular its very strategic location, close to the center of business, economic and trade center in Jakarta.

GCG Award

On December 6, 2017, PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk. has awarded the 9th IICD Corporate Governance Award as the Most Improved for Good Corporate Governance (GCG) practices and one of the Top 50 Issuers among companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

This award comprises acknowledgment from an Independent Board of our commitment to implementing GCG.

Chief Financial Officer of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Hoesen said the IICD Corporate Governance Award awards were very good for the Indonesian capital market in implementing Good Governance Coorporate.

“Therefore, to award winning companies, do not make the award as a measure of wealth but rather make the award a challenge,” said Hoesen in the 9th IICD Corporate Governance Award ceremony at Hotel Pullman, Jakarta.

The IICD programs are supported by The World Bank, IFC, GCGF, CIPE, ADB and the FSA as part of improving Good Corporate Governance implementation in Indonesia.

Signing of Syndicated Loan Facility Agreement with Exim Bank and Bangkok Bank Jakarta

On January 31, 2018, the Company and its subsidiaries, PT Bekasi Matra Industrial Estate, PT Bekasi Surya Pratama and PT Best Sinar Nusantara entered into a New USD Loan Facility Agreement (USD 75 million with an option to increase up to USD 130 million) with the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (known as Indonesia Eximbank) and Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited Jakarta Branch as the Original Lender, with the following important information:

  1. Purpose of the loan funds: To refinancing the existing USD syndicated loan facility and reimburse costs and expenses incurred by the Company and / or subsidiaries in relation to infrastructure development and industrial area facilities.
  2. The term of the loan shall be 96 months from the date of the signing of the New USD Loan Facility Agreement
  3. 5.5% interest + 3 months LIBOR.
