Soft Opening Hotel Enso

On February 1, 2017, BEST held a soft opening for its new business line, a business hotel called HOTEL ENSO. “ENSO” is a symbol in Japanese culture in the form of a circle-shaped handwriting that was born when the mind liberated the body to create. Through Japanese hospitality and hospitality “Omotenashi,” HOTEL ENSO has a mission to create a tranquil atmosphere for his guests to relent and free the mind. This 193-room business hotel with 7,850 m2 building is built on 3,600 m2 of land located within the commercial area of MM2100 Industrial Area.

This hotel was constructed due to the large number of companies and multi-national manufacturing facilities operating in Bekasi and its vicinity, especially in MM2100 Industrial Township. With so many multi-national companies raising the number of business travelers who travel business in this area. This poses a high demand for adequate accommodation facilities in MM2100 and Bekasi and surrounding areas.

Hotel Enso is strategically located at MM2100 Industrial Area near Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. Given the business traveler’s main target, Hotel Enso focuses on a good night’s sleep experience, freshness of the body through a refreshing shower, and a free-of-charge internet connection being the main focus of the hotel. HOTEL ENSO also wants to provide business convenience through multifunctional space and exclusive restaurant facilities, bars and relaxation facilities.

Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders

In connection with the resignation Mr. Erick Wihardja as Director of the Company which has been released and delivered to the FSA and IDX, on December 2, 2016, the Company held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders at the Multipurpose Auditorium, MM2100 Industrial Township, Bekasi with these meeting points: a change in the composition of the Board of Commissioners and / or the Board of Directors of the Company:

The results of the Meeting are as follows:

  1. Approved and accepted Erick Wihardja’s resignation as Director of the Company, since the closing of the Meeting. Thus granting full acquittance and discharging him fully (acquit de charge) for his tasks in the management of the Company so long as his actions are reflected in the Annual Report and Financial Statements of the Company.
  2. Approved the appointment of Mr Leo Yulianto Sutedja as Vice President Director of the Company.
  3. Approved the appointment of Mr. Wijaya Surya and Mrs. Swan Mie Rudy Tanardi respectively as as Directors of the Company.
  4. Approved the appointment of Mr The Nicholas as Vice President Commissioner of the Company, who previously served as a Commissioner of the Company.
  5. Approved the changes otof the composition of the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors as follows:

Second Mangrove Planting

On October 5, 2016, BEST held a CSR activity for the Environment, namely Mangrove Tree Planting. This CSR is implemented by BEST & PT Megalopolis Manunggal Industrial Development (MMID) working together in synergy through MM2100 Peduli container with tenant participation from MM2100 Industrial Township to plant around 15,000 Mangrove trees. This activity was conducted in collaboration with the MM2100 Industrial Township Nature Lover s(FPAKI) and the #Savemugo Muara Gembong Movement , and was also attended by West Java CSR Ambassador Mr. Hendra Lesmana

The Mangrove Planting Movement is a BEST CSR program that has been carried out since ast year. We recognize that this BEST Mangrove tree planting is still insufficient to compensate for environmental damage, therefore, it is necessary to work with various parties concerned with the sustainability of coastal ecosystems in the Bekasi region and beyond, whereby this program is expected to continue.

The recently held Environmental CSR activity, as well as other CSR programs such as education, social and community that will be implemented in the future through the MM2100 Peduli, will provide better results to the people who need it directly or indirectly, supported by the involvement of tenants and other companies / institutions.

Semester I, BEST Profit Increases by 60%

On July 29, 2016, BEST released financial reports, posting positive performance during the I-2016 semester. The company’s net income jumped 60.3% year on year.

The company managed to pocket net profit in the first half of this year of Rp 217.38 billion, jumping 60.3% from Rp 135.6 billion in the first half of 2015. Its earnings per share rose from Rp 14.06 to Rp 22.53.

BEST’s performance growth was mainly due to a gain of Rp 52.34 billion, despite a loss of Rp 35.12 billion in the first semester of 2015.

AGMS 2015

On June 2, 2016 at the MM2100 Industrial Estate Auditorium / Multipurpose Room, Bekasi, PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk held the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders for the 2015 Fiscal Year with the following results:

  1. To receive the Annual Report of the Company including the Board of Director’s Accountability Report and the Supervisory Report of the Board of Commissioners and to ratify the Company’s Financial Report for the Fiscal Year ended 31 December 2015
  2. To approve the audited financial statements of the Company for the period of December 31, 2015
  3. Establish the use of profit for the 2015 fiscal year amounting to Rp 1 billion as reserve and Rp11.87 billion or Rp1.23 per share as cash dividend.
  4. Authorized the Board of Directors to appoint a Public Accountant for examination of the year ending 31 December 2016
  5. Reported on the use of proceeds from the Public Offering

In 2015, the Company successfully recorded prsales of industrial land amounting to 18.1 hectares from a target of 15-20 hectares. For 2016, the Company targets industrial estate presales of 25-30 hectares.

The Company currently has two ongoing projects aimed at adding facilities for customers in the MM2100 Industrial Township, and business hotel project and modern warehouse project to enhance existing income. The “Enso” business hotel project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2016. Whereas the modern warehouse project, which is a joint venture with Daiwa, is expected to finish in Q3 2016.

Signing of a Plague for The Construction of Workshops at SMK Mitra Industri MM2100

On March 2, 2016 at the Office of the Governor of West Java, Bandung, Mr. Ahmad Heryawan as Governor of West Java and Mr. Yoshihiro Kobi jointly inscribed a workshop plaque for a CSR project, namely the construction of Workshops at MM2100 Industrial Workshop.

The program is aligned with the 2016 CSR Jabar program for the accelerated fulfillment of the development success target for the New Classrooms and community empowerment through trainings. The workshop is located at SMK Mitra Industri MM2100 Township, whereby the construction process has reached 95%. These workshops, covering 420m2, are expected to improve the quality of students and vocational school graduates.

BEST Received a CSR Award from The Government of West Java Province

On March 2, 2016, the Governor of West Java gave an award to BEST as a development partner for West Java for beginning the 2015 CSR / PKBL Program of the Company. The award was given by West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan to Mr. Yoshihiro Kobi.

According to the Governor of West Java, CSR efforts can help the achievement of education, health, economic empowerment and water supply targets. In addition, CSR can also play a role in the provision of sanitation, waste banks and others.

Today, January 27, 2016, the PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk. CSR Team in collaboration with the MM2100 Industrial Township Nature Lover Forum (FPAKI) MM2100 and #Savemugo Muara Gembong Movement went to Pantai Bahagia Village, Muara Gembong Subdistrict, Bekasi, in an effort to support the continuity and success of quality education, by giving bags and school equipment to students and computers for elementary schools in SDN 04 and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mansya’ul Huda.

This was done in in order to motivatethe students and teachers, towards further spurring creative teaching and learning processes so that it will ultimately be useful for students.

First Mangrove Tree Planting Program

On September 22, 2015, PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk. planted 2,000 Mangrove trees in Desa Pantai Bahagia, Muara Gembong Sub-district, Bekasi. This activity was conducted in cooperation with the Forum of Nature Lover of Industrial Estate (FPAKI) MM2100 and #Savemugo Muara Gembong Movement, with Mr. Hendra Lesmana in attendance as the CSR Ambassador of for West Java.

This mangrove tree planting program is one PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk. Through this activity, PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk.’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Through his activity, the Company strives to contribute to the conservation of mangrove forests in the coastal area of Bekasi, whose is in an increasingly fragile condition due to coastal erosion. In addition to preventing further coastal erosion, conservation of mangrove forest areas is also important as it is home to several species of flora and fauna, among them the endangered Javan langur.

Celebrating 25 Years of Industrial Development at MM2100 Township

On October 2, 2015, PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk held a thanksgiving event at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of MM2100 Industrial Estate. Under the theme of “Made in Indonesia by MM2100 to The World”, the event was attended by the founders of PT Bekasi Fajar Industrial Estate Tbk., Mr. The Ning King, Commissioners and Directors of the Company, and guests consisting of tenants and business partners. The event was also attended by Minister of Industry Mr. Saleh Husin and Trade Minister Mr. Tom Lembong.

In his speech, Mr. Yoshihiro Kobi, the President Director of the Company who was one of the pioneers of MM2100 Industrial Estate 25 years ago, said that up to now there are about 350 various companies operating in MM2100, comprising companies from Indonesia as well as multinational companies who in total employ around 130,000 employees. He also disclosed that the Company will develop commercial area facilities to support the industrial estate. In the initial phase, a Hotel and Logistics Center will be built which will start operating in 2016.
